ABSTRACT: Life is a university where we learn or forget, succeed or fail, loved or betrayed, but still we cannot stop anything from happening. This cycle continues until our last breathe. To carry forward the whole circle we, humans, constantly need to remain motivated. It gives every human a uniqueness and purposes to live. In this research we will study the term, need, process, and different theories regarding motivation. Studying on this can make a person self motivated for every action and efforts they put into their life. An attempt is made to study what changes have taken place inside human beings towards ranking or preference of factors that motivates them towards their life goals. These would help HR managers to decide their compensation policies, and also help policy makers to keep in mind what urgently society needs that keeps them motivated and ensure productivity.
